NOTARY SERVICES

Whenever you wish to use a document overseas you will need to employ a Notary Public rather than a Justice of the Peace (JP) to witness or certify your documents. The person, company or Government department that requested your documents be notarised can help you determine whether you require the services of a Notary or a JP.

APOSTILLE LEGALISATION SERVICES

An Apostille is a certificate demonstrating that DFAT has verified the signature and seal of the Public Notary that has notarised the document. An Apostille is only needed for documents destined for countries that have signed The Hague Convention.  Documents required for Countries not party to the Hague Convention may be required to be authenticated.
